The format of the Third International Conference on Parallel Processing and Applied Mathematics (PPAM'99) will follow the pattern set by its successful predecessors, the PPAM'94 and PPAM'97 conferences, which were held in Czestochowa and Zakopane, respectively. PPAM'99 is dedicated to a broad variety of subject areas within parallel and distributed processing, including theory and applications. The Conference is also intended as an open forum in the field of applied mathematics. An important goal of PPAM'99 is to foster communication and cooperation between communities studying problems in this field and communities involved in parallel/distributed computation.
PPAM'99 will take place in Kazimierz Dolny, an unique small town on the Vistula river, situated near the route from Warsaw to Lublin, famous for its architecture, setting, history and unforgettable atmosphere. The middle of September is one of the best periods for visiting this region.
Like its predecessors, PPAM'99 is organized by the Institute of Mathematics of Computer Science at the Technical University of Czestochowa.
